📋 Product Description
Product Description Pantenger Roasted Dong Ding Oolong Tea is a premium loose leaf Taiwanese oolong handcrafted in small batches in Phoenix Village, near Dong Ding Mountain in Lugu Township, Taiwan. Harvested by hand during the Spring 2026 season, this exceptional tea comes from a family-owned garden where traditional tea-making techniques have been passed down through generations. Crafted from carefully selected Qing Xin tea leaves, this roasted oolong reflects the classic style that made the Lugu region famous. The leaves are expertly oxidized and traditionally roasted to create a rich, layered cup with inviting floral aromas, ripe fruit notes, hints of vanilla, toasted graham, and a touch of rhubarb and cherry pie. The roast enhances the tea's natural sweetness while adding depth, a creamy mouthfeel, subtle mineral character, and a remarkably clean finish. The tea garden sits at approximately 700 meters above sea level and is managed by a family that continues to produce tea using methods inherited from previous generations, complemented by modern equipment to ensure consistency. After processing, each batch is carefully sorted to remove excess stems and mature leaves, producing an elegant whole leaf tea with exceptional balance and clarity. Pantenger selects only limited seasonal lots that showcase the authentic character of Taiwan's traditional roasted oolong craftsmanship. The result is a smooth, full-bodied tea equally appreciated by experienced oolong drinkers and those discovering premium Taiwanese teas for the first time. Brewing Recommendations Western Style: Use 9 g of tea with 300 ml of water at 95°C (203°F). Steep for approximately 3 minutes. Re-steep several times and adjust to taste. Cold Brew: Use 8 g of tea per 1 liter of water. Infuse at room temperature for 2–3 hours or refrigerate overnight. Gong Fu Style: Use 10 g of tea in a 150 ml teapot with boiling water. Brew for about 60 seconds for the first infusion and 50 seconds for the second, increasing the infusion time with each additional steep. The leaves can be brewed up to six times.
