This review is obviously a lot harder to write than many of the others I've done before, for probably pretty obvious reasons. The loss was my own, and it's hard to heal from for many reasons - one of which is "disembodied grief." This type of grief occurs when you don't really have a physical or tangible way to mourn the loss of something or someone. If you're keeping a loss private and/or you don't have any reminders or things to bury, this is the kind of grief that tends to rear it's head, like my own. This gift set is a really thoughtful way to "give grief a place to go" and to help lift some of the emotion burden of having a miscarriage.To start, the quality of the box is very simple, but still very nice. It's made of an unfinished wood painted with flowers, with brassy hinges and a matching clasp in the same style. All of the hardware is sturdy, and the wood the box is comprised of is just the same. The flower detailing and thoughtful wording both inside and out are beautifully done, and would be very well recieved as a gift, I think. Inside also includes a sympathy card on heavy cardstock, which I think is a nice touch and is also of a similarly high quality.The focal point, and the main part of this review, though, is the wind chime. It comes wrapped inside the canvas satchel to keep it safe, and is further protected by plastic overlaying the metal to prevent scratches, which works well. It can be a bit difficult to remove, but it's well worth the spotlessness of the final result. I'd recommend using scissors to help get it off. The quality of the wind chime is excellent. The color of the metal is absolutely gorgeous and all of the pieces are are shaped smoothly and very pretty. The resin flowers are striking and encased well, and the bell has a beautiful and clear sound that you can hear in the video I posted.Overall, this is a wonderful gift set that would be well-recieved as a present for someone mourning a loss, or even as something picked up for yourself as a way to mourn. Currently, this set is being sold for $31.99 with a coupon price of $28.79, and I think that's more than a fair price for what you're getting - especially the quality of the wind chime.It's lovely, and it's brought me some peace having somewhere to put my own grief.
