Extra Large Picnic Blanket Waterproof (Blue)

I love this blanket, I love how easy it was to undo and put out however it wasn’t as easy to just fold right back up because there’s not the perfect way in the beginning.The appearance is beautiful however, when it says waterproof, I thought that if we laid it down on wet grass, it would not soak up into the blanket, but that was not the case.Water definitely soaked up into the blanket and got us wet. I don’t really know how the blanket is waterproof? It’s not like a thin picnic blanket that soaks up any water if it’s on the grass. It’s not very soft. It’s more of a rough picnic type fabric that you would expect maybe clean off well or does wick away water, but it didn’t wick away the water.

This is the 2nd time I’ve ordered from this company, and both times I’ve been very pleased with the excellent quality and spacious size of these extra-large picnic blankets. As a family who spends a lot of time outside, this blanket has been amazing for family picnics at the park, to bring along when we go tent camping, or for enjoying on the sand at the beach. My older kids love reading books outside when the weather is not too warm, and this blanket is the first thing they grab before heading outside to spread this blanket in the shade with their book.This blanket provides a nice little amount of cushioning, and is very generously sized at 80”x 80”, giving our family plenty of room when we’re all together. I appreciate how the underside has a thick black quilted material which feels heavy-duty, and makes shaking off any loose dirt or sand convenient and easy. The material of the entire blanket feels very strong and durable, is waterproof, and the construction is top-notch. It’s also machine washable when needed, which is awesome especially when you have younger kids.We ordered the blue USA map pattern, and we all love the vibrant colors and fun design. I love how the entire blanket folds up neatly into the shape of a bag and is held in place with Velcro, complete with a handle for convenient carrying. For being so spacious and comfy, the entire blanket is surprisingly lightweight when folded up and carrying. This picnic blanket has it all: vibrantly beautiful colors, durable, waterproof material, great quality construction, and convenient, lightweight portability. For families with young children who spend a lot of time outdoors, this blanket is an essential, and is worth every penny. 5 easy stars!

This is probably the best picnic blanket I've ever had! It's made with strong fabric and quilted - so it has substance but is very lightweight. I don't think its made with cotton. I looked up "fongee fabric" and its fine synthetic polyester fibers. That's what it seems to be made up. Its a tight and strong weave that will wear well. The nylon backing is also very durable and doesn't pick up dust, sand or dirt - dirt just shakes off, which I love! Spills can easily be wiped off, which is just amazing. Its really big and has plenty of room for everyone! Best of all, it folds up really easily. I though I'd never figure out how to fold it back up, but it was easy - I got it the first time! The USA map pattern is really colorful and cute. Everyone really liked it. Best of all, its light and has a good handle that makes it easy to carry.This weekend, we took it to the river and threw it over a big log to sit on. The design was upside down but it provided a clean surface to sit on and we had no dust on our shorts. When we were ready to go, we just shook it out and folded it. So easy.
