Foldable Yoga Mat (Black & Grey)

When we opened this mat up for the very first time you could smell a new smell to it but it went away quickly. It laid completely flat on the floor right away and was easy to fold back up. It is lightweight to carry, and it stayed in place during a yoga workout. My wife had lotion on her hands when she first tried it so you can see some finger marks and they were a little slippery when she was doing downward dog. Once her hands were lotion free she had no problem with them staying in place on the mat in any position.The cushioning is thick and dense so it does not hurt your knees. You can fold it over one or two times for more cushioning if needed. It says the flat is 10mm thick, half fold is 40mm thick and fully folded up is 70mm thick. She likes how easy it is to fold to sit up higher on as she has a hard time sitting flat on the floor when doing yoga. She also used it fully folded up for her arms to do a plank.The only complaint is when we tried to stand it up in a closet it did not stay closed because it did not come with a strap or anything to hold it closed. I had to lay it on its side on a shelf to keep it together.

I’ve enjoyed several Weila products so far. Overall, I like this product and the brand and do recommend it. I love the folding style, which to me is more convenient to carry and store than a rolled one. I also like the fact that it is different colors on the top and bottom; I ordered one that is dark grey on the top side and light gray on the bottom. Little suction cup type things give it a nice grip on the bottom and it has a nice amount of thickness and cushion to the material, significantly more than the standard thickness one that i tried.The design is unique in that it has rounded edges at the top and bottom.This will be great for not only yoga, but also for other kinds of exercise classes I do at gyms with hard floors that involve core work, etc. I like that you can fold it over on itself to make a thicker pad for kneeling exercises. The downside or reason for not getting five stars is that I find it pretty expensive compared to other ones of comparable quality that I have tried.
