Half stunning and half questionable design... I have purchased another version of this and the white bar was a transparent panel to allow privacy and visibility. In the photo on the ad for this curtain, that bar is stark white. My mistake for thinking it was like my other currain and just photographed poorly. In real life, that's actually what it looks like. I don't know why they would have an arbitrary white bar there. It's not a transparent panel to see through. Totally kills the elegance. The design itself was lovely in the area it was. I wish it'd been the whole curtain. It offers privacy. I could gave coped but had to return because the supposedly 74" curtain was many inches shorter than 74.
