10/10 would recommend. If you practice hot/heated yoga, YOU NEED THIS MAT! I was incredibly surprised at how nonslip it actually is. My hands nor my feet budged a millimeter even with puddles of sweat underneath. Even when I was in dolphin pose, and my forearms were completely drenched, still had amazing grip. The good grip enhances my practice because I feel more secure in the postures. It’s not very heavy, maybe a little heavier than the cheapo Walmart yoga mats, but it’s not nearly as heavy as my last few name brand mats. And the smell is not bothersome in the slightest. There’s a slight earthy/planty smell, almost like a tea, but I didn’t even notice it in child’s pose to be bothersome. Can’t recommend this mat enough!
Great yoga mat by Vestra. It provides enough cushion, while not stretching during use. It is not a super “cushiony” mat, so if you need something that relives a lot of pressure this may not be the mat for you.It has a cloth like layer on the surface, which has a nice feel to it. It is very durable so far. It withstood some clawing from our cat with little observable damage from the abuse. And our dog likes to lay on it, and her claws have not damaged it at all. Wearing athletic shoes on the mat has had no affect on its integrity. It looks just as good after months of use as when I bought it.It rolls nicely up, and unrolls flat even after a long period of time being rolled up. The cushion on this mat resists stretching so you can push with both your arms and legs and it won’t stretch. While the cushion is durable it does make the mat a little heavier than the average mat, but it is not too heavy to make it uncomfortable to carry around.The mat is easy to clean with wipes. The material on the surface makes cleaning off dirt a little more difficult than just foam, but dirt does come off with more effort, and the top material gives the mat a nicer feel.This is the best yoga I’ve owned so far. It was pricey at $89, but so far I feel it was worth the money! It was so great I bought a second one for my husband.
