I originally purchased a different set of chimes from a different seller and had to return them due to cheap quality. I just bought 2 of these chimes so I can give my sister a matching one. They look really pretty, are very well constructed and have lovely differing bell tones from the different sized metal chimes. They have a perfect mid range melodic sound (not super deep or high and tin-like, more mid range in pitch). I have not even tried the solar yet. These are so pretty and well made, I already got my money's worth, even without solar, but I can't wait to see these lit up. The crackle glass and all metal gives it the quality look I wanted. I also confess that although these look beautiful out of the box, I am taking some metallic iridescent fingernail polish and painting the moon flowers and bird for my sister and I, in specific meaningful colors to us. If it wasn't for personal reasons, I would just hang them as they come, because they are gorgeous as-is. I rarely see my sister. It's been years. We happen to be meeting up on a blue moon. I've been cracking jokes about seeing each other once in a blue moon, so wanted to surprise her with a gift containing a blue moon, hence the paint. The chimes, by the way, are large and accurate to size. The previous ones I returned were small and cheap, but these are robust and the manufacturer did quality work!
