Everything feels Zen about this matcha set, from the color and smooth lines to the porcelain and bamboo materials. It’s well-packed in a sturdy decorative carton and tight-fitting dense styrofoam to secure all the pieces and protect against breakage, which is super important when ordering an item like this online. It includes all the components needed to skillfully prepare a cup of matcha, except for basic instructions. I love Matcha, I thought it would be nice to get a set to properly make it at home, and of course, you can stumble around on the Internet to figure it out, but I would have much preferred if it came with at least basic instructions. As is, it’s designed for people who already know what they’re doing, rather than those who would like to add traditional matcha making to their daily routine. I needed to go online to determine what a three inch vase with an opening on both the top and bottom was, as well as the recommended way to prepare matcha using all the implements. Apparently, the little vase is for storing the bamboo whisk. I also discovered online how to prepare the whisk. If I hadn’t seen that, I wouldn’t have known it needs easy but special preparation (like the way many cast-iron pans have to be “seasoned” before you can use them). The box does however come with a sheet of matcha recipes like lattes and shakes. All in all, this makes a really nice gift aside from enjoying the set yourself. Especially since I see that it is currently on sale, it’s a good value for the quality, but I would highly recommend they add instructions. The only negative thing of note, is that there was a bug inside the bowl, and considering how well packed it was, that means it must have been there before they sealed it off, which could be there are some quality control issues. Obviously, be sure to wash it before you use it.

However, since the caddy may not provide a perfectly airtight seal, it's best to consume the matcha within a reasonable time.The stainless steel sifter helps break up clumps, resulting in a smoother, lump-free matcha. The bowl is generously sized, giving you plenty of room to whisk vigorously without splashing. Before using the bamboo whisk for the first time, remember to soak it in warm water for about a minute to soften the bristles and help prevent damage.I also love the beautiful green color of the set. Overall, this is my favorite matcha kit for enjoying a traditional homemade matcha experience.

I ordered the green color.When I opened this package I first noticed how gorgeous this little set it. The colors are vibrant and beautiful. The listing says 8 pcs, and that includes the little fabric mat. The quality of the set is great and it comes in a beautiful box, which is pretty enough to leave on my kitchen counter. The dishes appear durable, and I hand washed them fine without a problem.It was fun to make my own matcha latte, even though I definitely can improve on the taste through more practice. The best itself was easy to use and whisk. I would highly recommend this set as it would also make a nice gift.

I love the green color. It comes in a pretty box and everything is nicely secured inside with foam. The box is great to keep for storing the set or to use for gifting. The set looks higher end and includes everything you need to make matcha except the actual match! It comes with a bowl, whisk, holder, scoop, sifter, tea caddy, towel, and instruction book.The ceramic is evenly glazed and smooth. It’s not super heavy but doesn’t feel fragile. I felt confident putting it in the dishwasher on the top rack and it came out fine. The bowl is a good size and you can easily make two cups of matcha with it.The whisk works well and is pretty easy to clean. The holder keeps it in good shape. The scoop and the starter are very nice too. The tea towel is a bit small but that’s ok. You can always use another one.This set is definitely giftable and would be good for anyone who is starting out and wants to learn how to make matcha.The set is a good value for the money.I would order it again.I recommend it.
