These bookends are the perfect addition to my bookcase! They bring the right amount of whimsy and charm while being functional at the same time.
These bookends are actually pretty cool looking in person! I was nervous about how this would pan out as they are such a good price. Thankfully, they are well made and have some good "heft" to them in terms of weight. They do the job by keeping books upright on a shelf. I will say, They don't do as well with really heavy hard bound textbooks, but with typical soft cover books they keep them organized without slipping. They are protected in styrofoam which has been a pain to clean off the product (lots of little white bits remain static to the bookends) but I am grateful that they were so well protected in shipping.Overall, I am very happy with the size and design of the bookends and think this will make a great gift for any cat lover who enjoys reading.
Bookends need some serious weight to them to be useful and these certainly do - They have bulk and stay in place even with top heavy books. The solid black resin designs look very good but I didn’t realize until after taking the photos that some of the styrofoam remnants from packing were still visible but I was able to wipe these white specs off easily so the bookends have a great solid stone appearance. Both cats are unique, each with their own pose.
