Pottery is lovely. Unfortunately, the whisk arrived damaged (cracked).I am hopeful that I can get it replaced and update this review.
The 7 piece set provides all the necessary and hard to find equipment. I use the small vase to dry my whisk, assuming this is what it is use for. The directions were a little short. Other than that, these sets could make nice gifts in the future.The bowl is sturdy and feels like it came from a craft store. I also like the bamboo mat that provides an Asian vibe to making matcha based recipes.
When I initially bought this set ALL the reviews were part of Amazon's zine program and as someone who takes longer than the average person to decide purchasing a new product, I was very wary of initially purchasing this because of it. And boy did it pay off. It was 100% worth the 35 dollars (and shipping) making it deserving of 5 stars. (The whisk alone in the nearest Asian grocery market would've been like 60% of that price alone) All you really need outside of this set is a mug and maybe some tissues if your messy like me.Now I'm not a complete beginner but I was a bit rusty since I've avoided making my own matcha due to the annoyance of cleaning the powder, not having a strainer made my matcha clumpy and really bothersome and as a college freshman I simply didn't have time for the hassle. Which is why the bamboo mat is easily my favorite part of this set. Despite my rustiness I had no issues making a great smooth matcha.Everything is as advertised coming with the gorgeous ceramic bowl, the bamboo whisk, the holder, the sifter, etc. and my only gripe was with the box the product came in if you're the type to keep regular boxes for easier storage it was hard to open and close after the first-time opening. But I will definitely be getting back into making matcha after purchasing.Remember to soak your whisk in hot (not boiling) water with half of the bowl full for 2 minutes each time you make matcha it'll last longer and I almost made that mistake my first time using it.
