Pillow is as described. For operation, there is a button that is pushed once to open the valve and allow air into and out of the pillow. Press it a second time to close the valve. My main complaint is that there is no way to keep it inflated to the 3.9 inch diameter. It inflates easily with one or two exhaled breaths, but it deflates slightly by the time you quickly remove your lips and immediately press the valve button a second time. I even tried unsuccessfully to push the button to close the valve with my tongue while maintaining air pressure. Disappointing if you desire it to be fully inflated.
It was an okay item, bought it for my grandma as a neck pillow for laying in her chair. The pillow did what it was supposed to do, but ultimately returned as my grandma decided she didn't like it.
I travel a lot and hotel pillows range from lousy to absolutely horrible, they seldom have any support at all. So when I found this I had some hope that it would be helpful, since I sleep on a foam neck roll type pillow at home. This exceeded my expectations, it's nice and soft, inflates and deflates easily. It rolls up and comes with a strap and travel storage bag that makes it easy to tuck into luggage. The firmness is adjustable, so it's easy to make it comfortable. Best of all, it really works, providing neck support and dramatically improving sleep on lousy hotel pillows. The only trick is to not leave it at the hotel, since it's tucked inside a pillow. I put the bag and strap on top of my luggage, so the bag will remind me to retrieve the pillow.
This review is for the Luxtude Inflatable Neck Roll Pillow. I ordered 2 of these - one for myself and one for my husband. We sit in recliners to watch tv and both of us have neck issues. My cervical discs have been fused and my husband needs surgery. We are so happy with these inflatable pillows. They are adjustable to personal needs and make sitting so much more comfortable. They are well made and the perfect size. They are very reasonably priced, as well. Thanks!
