Key Features
- CEREMONIAL GRADE MATCHA POWDER: Single-cultivar Samidori hand-picked in small batches from the first spring harvest in Kagoshima, Japan. This Japanese matcha powder is known for its vibrant emerald color, smooth texture, naturally sweet umami, and a balanced finish.
- RICH, BALANCED & CHOCOLATEY TASTE PROFILE: This ceremonial matcha powder has hazelnut and chocolate undertones, a rich, creamy body, and a clean finish. Enjoy it as Koicha (thick tea), Usucha (thin tea), or in smooth café-style matcha lattes.
- SHADE-GROWN & STONE-MILLED FOR SILKY MICROFOAM: Traditionally shade-grown using the Ōishita Saibai method to enhance sweetness and reduce bitterness. Stone-milled on granite wheels into a fine, silky matcha powder that whisks into rich, creamy microfoam.
- FARMER-DIRECT, RESPONSIBLY SOURCED: This unsweetened matcha powder is made only from single-cultivar Samidori, with no added sweeteners, fillers, or additives. Chazoku partners with small family farms in Kagoshima, Japan, supporting generational tea farmers and traditional cultivation methods.
- EASY TO PREP HOT OR ICED: Whisk 2 g (about 1 tsp) of matcha powder with 2–3 oz of water at 160°F–175°F in an “M” motion for 15–20 seconds. Its fine texture creates a smooth cup without chalkiness. Enjoy it as traditional matcha tea or add milk and ice for a creamy matcha latte.
