The bright and flickering lights are great in my pool at night. The last about 7-8 hours after a full charge in the sun.
These look pretty and elegant, and are fairly bright for candle light. They light up regularly every night and stay on well into the night. They also float well. The only thing is that when I put 3 of these lights in my pool always gather together at one end or edge of the pool. But that's just the physics of wind and water movement -- there's nothing the product manufacturer could do about that. So instead I place them out of my pool, spaced out just along the edge. They look really nice there and add a touch of sophistication and design to my backyard.
I purchased a version of this lantern several years ago and one of the two is still working. I decided to replace it with the new two pack. New version looked better, had a better candlelight & a ground stake, if you don't want it to float. Unfortunately, moisture started appearing inside the globe, after a few days & it stopped working soon after. Not a good quality for a floating lantern. The second one is still working, but BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK!UPDATE 6-30-2025: My one star rating was undeserved. It was a fast reaction to a quickly non-working globe. Any business large or small, can have minor manufacturing problems. The seal was bad on one globe. I must say this is a much improved light from the pair I bought 4 years ago (one of which is still working). The new version has solar cells that go all the way around the new, better candle. Thus, the new light stays on, at night, substantially longer. They also include a nice ground stake, if you want to anchor it. Most importantly the company has great Customer Service! They contacted me after seeing the review, and asked what they could do to make it right. I asked for a set of 2 new globes, which they sent very quickly! I tested the new lights, and after several days of rain and high humidity, they both are working fine! I highly recommend this new version of the lights!
