Great incense kitGreat incense kit

These smell good, but can be a bit overpowering in a small space. I like that it comes with a piece to stick the incense onto. The set is really easy to set up and there are a lot of refills which is appreciated. Nice for staying inside during the cozy months, and great alternative to palo santo or a candle.

Lovely fragrance, sticks are very fragile.Lovely fragrance, sticks are very fragile.

This set of Satory incense sticks is packaged beautifully and would make an elegant gift. It includes 70 sticks, a small, simple brass holder, and a nice booklet with information about the brand.I ordered the Water scent, and the fragrance is lovely. It makes me think of a nighttime campfire on the beach: wood, smoke, and a light ocean breeze. It doesn't overpower like many incense tend to do. It's light, fresh, and calming. The sticks are so fragile, though. I've snapped a couple just trying to put them in the holder.I think it's a good value. It's a quality product packaged thoughtfully, perfect for inviting calm into your home or as a gift that's sure to be appreciated.

Truly 100% natural, no chemical fragrance, smells like the oceanTruly 100% natural, no chemical f...

I have ordered so many different types of incense from Amazon and I always make sure to carefully read the description to make sure that they are 100% natural with no chemical fragrance added. Unfortunately a lot of incense that claims to be 100% natural is not. I have a very strong sense of smell and as soon as I light something up I can immediately tell if there's chemical artificial fragrance added to boost the natural fragrance.I've learned to avoid the incense that says that it has a lingering fragrance because that will always mean that they're using artificial chemical fragrance because 100% natural fragrance will dissipate typically within an hour from the room and that's what an authentic incense burning experience should provide. You don't want to be inhaling chemical artificial fragrance anytime, but especially not when you are meditating or tuning inwards. If you want something that has a long lingering fragrance, by definition you have to go for something that has chemical artificial fragrance added. When I first lit the first incense stick from the set, I had forgotten what the ingredients were in this and as soon as the smoke started wafting in my direction it immediately reminded me of the ocean which is very different from most Sandalwood or agarwood incense which is what makes up most of my collection. So I went back to the description and was reminded that I had specifically chosen these because of the Ambergris and Amber ingredients. Ambergria is a sustainable waste byproduct from whales and Amber alone when burned tends to have a more uplifting bright type of fragrance so it seems to be the combination of those two ingredients that is creating the ocean like fragrance. It's not at all cloying and exactly how I like my incense to fill a space without overwhelming it.For people who use artificial chemical fragrance in their home, they're probably not going to like this. It won't linger long enough for their tastes. If on the other hand you are appreciative of all natural ingredients and truly natural fragrance, I think you'll love this. I got the water element version and I'm probably going to try some of their other elements as well now that I know that they are truly 100% natural incense. The packaging on these is beautiful as well. They're very very thin incense sticks and they give you the cute little ornamental incense holder that takes up very little space. You can put it on a very small platter and because the incense sticks stay perfectly vertical, even a small base will capture the falling ash. They're extremely well packaged in an external box with an unbleached corrugated paper wrap around the inner box. The inner box has all of the incense stacked to one side with a thin sheet of what feels like rice paper over top. So again the packaging is pristine and a beautiful addition. These would make a very nice gift for all of the above reasons. The current price of these is $22 which for 70 all natural, high quality ingredient incense sticks that burn for about an hour I think is a great value.Highly recommended if you love truly all natural incense and you're looking for something a little bit different and more ethereal end uplifting from the typical sandalwood grounding types of incense.

What Is It, Really?

When I chose this, it was listed as "sandalwood, ambergris, and amber." All their other scents contain agarwood, and now their "material" includes it, but it wasn't listed back then. I have enough agarwood scents right now, thank you. I was going for variety in my incense collection. On the other foot, the outer box lists it as "Ambergris, agarwood, sandalwood, amber," and the inner box as " Ambergris, agarwood, sandalwood, vanilla." I would at least expect the boxes put together to agree.Whatever it is, it's primarily a very light drift of sandalwood and agarwood, which makes me think of old, dim, Asian antique and import shops (the bright new ones don't burn incense). The other elements are very muted. I'm used to burning broken amber beads on charcoal, but that's humbug to do. I was hoping for a stronger amber presence here. After burning, surprisingly long for so small an amount, it remains as an ethereal memory around the room for an hour or so. Maybe you can pick it up, maybe you can't.Bring a thin blade to opening the boxes. You won't want to damage the inner box with its embossing, and slitting the label at the edge of the innermost paper is a little tricky. The little brass cone nicely holds this thin needle of incense (no wooden or bamboo core, so it's fragile), but it will still drop ash all around it. You need to put the holder in a heatproof dish at least 4"/10cm across, just in case the ember falls. This is a chance for some originality in fitting your decor, whether you use a Victorian bone china saucer, a carved brass Indian dish, or put the holder in your little chiminea aimed at burning palo santo.

Simple, elegant, smells wonderful.

This is simple, elegant, teardrop shaped reed holder that came with quite a few incense sticks. The sticks have such a lovely light smell to them. They burn slowly and give off a very light yet clear scent. The entire set was packaged so well to make sure that there wasn't any damage to the reeds during transportation. It's a small simple set up that can fit in any open area of your home.I'm using it in my small office as I was running through candles at a somewhat alarming rate.I'm really happy with the scent of the incense, the longevity of the reeds, the ease of use of this product, the smallness yet elegance of the holder. It allows me to keep it on my work space in a small decorative dish, but it doesn't take up any more room than my candle did.The scent lingers longer than my candles did, but doesn't travel too far into the rest of the house. Allowing me to burn the reeds for my own use, but not bother others.I would definitely purchase this scent again, and will be looking at other reeds that this seller has.The time and care that was taken with the wrapping and boxing of the delicate reeds to ensure that nothing was broken during shipping was noteworthy and done in a very tasteful and elegant way as well. It unwrapped more like a present than just incense sticks. If you are looking to gift someone with this, it comes packaged in such a way that it is easily to wrap in the box it arrives in, and when unwrapped, looks very pleasing and well cared for by the merchant. I would happily gift this to my friends who also enjoy using incense in their homes.

Clean and Subtle, but Lacks Impact

I gave this incense a try, but wasn’t particularly impressed. The sticks are very small, at least half the size of standard ones like Nag Champa, and a few of them broke into pieces just as I was picking them up. It’s also hard to tell which end is meant to go in the holder and which should be lit, which makes using them frustrating. The scent itself is clean, but extremely light and doesn’t linger at all. For someone who is new to incense or is sensitive to strong smells, this might be a good option. But as someone who prefers a more long-lasting fragrance, this didn’t quite meet my expectations.Overall, it might work for beginners or those looking for a very subtle aroma, but it’s not something I would purchase again

Elemental Essence Experience

This "Element Water" natural aromatherapy incense gift set, with approximately 70 sticks and an included brass holder, hails from Satory. It's described as a set of 6.3" sticks made with an ancient formula including sandalwood, ambergris and amber, designed for energy balance, chakra cleansing and meditation rituals. The presentation is absolutely lovely. This incense set is presented as an elegant gift. The box includes a brass incense holder and a booklet sharing the brand's story, which is a nice touch. Upon opening the box, I found the unlit sticks to have a more 'perfumey' character than I anticipated for an elemental or natural incense. However, once burning, the aroma transforms into something different and pleasant. The scent, when burned, offers a nice and more subtle fragrance that is indeed refreshing, with notes meant to evoke clarity and inner peace. Each 6.3" stick is stated to burn for about 35 minutes. In practice, it was closer to 15 minutes. The aroma, while described as gentler than some traditional incenses, lingers for a couple of hours depending on room size, providing a subtle, steady presence. The sticks are crafted based on the Wu Xing (Five Elements) philosophy, using natural ingredients. While I'm not sure what this means, I did enjoy the history and it sounds interesting and unique. All in all, this is a good quality incense set with an elegant presentation and a pleasant, subtle aroma when burned, making it a nice choice for creating a calming atmosphere, even if the initial scent in the box is a bit stronger. If this incense doesn't continue to flow well with my senses, the review will be updated in the future.
