If you like a matcha that's not sweet, is moderately astringent and has a bitter little bite to it, with a moderate boldness Ki matcha is for you! The bitter note lingers on the tongue. It does produce a nice foam also. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because there are tiny little clumps that are a pain to dissolve but taking a little extra time isn't a bit deal for a matcha with a flavor profile that you like.
It's high quality, affordable and delicious! Originally, I purchased the sample pack of this blend and after finishing it, I immediately bought the full tin. The taste of this blend is more umami, a little sweet and low bitterness/grassy flavor. If that's the flavor profile you tend to gravitate towards, this is the blend to purchase.
This is an affordable option for beginner or frequent matcha drinker. It has smooth, umami-forward flavor, and no bitterness at all. Perfect for traditional whisked matcha, or iced lattes.
