Good mat for my needs, which is use in my home gym only. The mat is stiffer than expected but size is perfect for slim 5’10” person. The thickness and grippy nature is very good. Due to stiffness, it would be cumbersome to bring to different locations w/o personal vehicle. Great and light weight.
Makes for a superior yoga mat. Most plastic / rubber products off gas, For this one, it is barely perceivable. I do wish reviewers would stop complaining about off gassing, it always goes away. I used a few weights to assist with the curling from packaging. It lays perfectly flat now.
The typical yoga mat is no match for us plus-size mortals. Both my partner and I get a kick out of this Mega-Mat, it is the perfect dimensions for a routine that includes rollovers and wide stretches. If you have the space, or even if you're on the smaller side, go for it--you might find the extra room rewarding.Being larger does make it a little awkward to roll up and move around, but it is portable as evidenced by the carry handle. Ours is destined to never leave our exercise room, so this is not a personal issue. They claim non-slip, but sometimes the bottom does tend to slide on tile, so an anti-slip mat might be a worthwhile investment. I also appreciate the black on black logo that is not too distracting, almost a requirement nowadays when selecting products. If I had to pick on something, I would mention the thickness at 0.5", while sufficient, especially with footwear, could really use a bump up to 0.75". This would raise the cost but would improve the experience (at the cost of reduced portability). The chemical smell present during unwrapping has made itself scarce over the next few weeks.I am not familiar with this specific brand. Overall, for the price and quality, I am very pleased with this product, and can recommend it to anyone looking for a larger than usual exercise mat.
