My foam yoga block has always sunk when I stood on it with is frustrating when you're trying to balance. This cork block, however, stays firm and in place without making you feel like your ankle is going to role when you try and balance on it. It feels like a good quality cork, and after a few uses, there's so far not dents or dips in the block so I am remaining optimistic. I also like the size, as a plus size individual the slightly larger block does help me with some of my moves and balancing. It's a 5/5 for me as far as yoga blocks go. I have nothing bad to say about it.
This single yoga block is dense and sturdy. I got the five inch one because it's thicker than normal yoga blocks. It's helpful to my hypermobile joints to have a variety of shapes and sizes for the best support. It is a little more rough on the sides than I would like, but it's not crumbling like other blocks I've had.
