Every Manduka eKO mat is made from biodegradable, 100% natural tree rubber with non-toxic foaming agents and non-azo dyes, we use no PVC or harmful plasticizers and all post-industrial scrap is thoughtfully collected and utilized in the production of other materials creating a zero waste manufacturing process. To store, roll your eKO mat with the top side facing outwards. This keeps the corners of the mat flat when practicing. The surface texture of Manduka mats improves with use.

Just the right thickness, soft, comfortable and lightweight and rolls out seamlessly and elegantly, does seem to have the slightest slippage if hand is wet and yet it has a very good grip overall, though folds and stretches sometimes when you grip it in stances. The deep sea is a beautiful dark colorway. The rubber smell doesn't bother me and does fade. I would get it again!
Love, love, love this mat. I’ve been using a thinner Manduka for over 12 years and know the quality is there and this will hold up. It’s sticky enough but doesn’t feel like it would be great for hot yoga. Cushioned and supportive enough for my wonky tailbone and sensitive knees but firm enough for most balancing poses. My ONLY caveat is that I do wish it was sticker. It’s also probably a little heavy for travel.
