These are not only lovely, they are quite functional. If I notice a woman fanning herself with a piece of paper or her hand, I have been known to reach in my purse and give her a fan. These surprise gifts always seem to evoke a very thankful response, and in my mind serve as a random act of kindness. They also come in a lovely array of patterns and fit nicely in the bottom of my purse. I love them and have ordered multiples so I always have one or two on hand.
It won't stand up to rough use, and you have to help the last few folds close as you fold it up, but a for a cheap, delicate fan, it's pretty, and moves a lot of air!
