This mat works amazing and is priced perfectly! It’s my first mat and I am very pleased. Relaxes my stress and tension which in turn causes me to sleep like a baby. I’m obsessed.
I was never actually able to use this mat because it ended up smelling like urine but i think it probably would have been fine had i not left it in the cloth bag for a few years.I love the cheaper versions of this bag so thought i'd upgrade but i ended up preferring the light weight of the cheap ones despite how nice these fancier version ones are. I don't recall an odor when i got it. I haven't found any evidence other people have had this issue so I wouldn't assume it's an issue with the manufacturing. I really think it was solely because the mat didn't breathe for at least 3 years and my home was somewhat humid. So i'd still recommend the mat, it's lovely, just don't leave it untouched in the bag for 3 years and just to be on the safe side i'd remove the cover and set in a sunny spot for a bit just to make sure the coconut fibers fully cured.
