First, the good stuff: I started having knee pain while using a very thin yoga mat, and bought this extra thick one with hopes it would solve my knee pain problems. I’m happy to report that this may did solve all my painful knee issues. It doesn’t hurt to be on my knees during yoga poses anymore.The mat is thick and supportive. It slightly sinks in wherever I stand on it, but then goes back to normal kind of like how memory foam works.I never fully fold this mat back up into its straps because I use it at home only. It is a bit bulky, so I would not want to carry it with me to a class at the gym. I don’t need it to travel with me, so it’s not an issue.I’m very happy with how this mat performs. It is thick and works great on hard floors to provide lots of cushion.The not so good stuff: The only reason I’m taking off a star is because when I received the mat, it had packaging tape from the box stuck to it in a couple of places. When I removed the tape, it pulled on the mat and caused damage to the mat’s edges.The damage is cosmetic, and I like the mat so much I don’t want to return it.Overall: If you’re looking for a soft, supportive yoga mat, give this one a try. I’m happy with my purchase.
