I was so happily surprised with this fountain. For the last 15 years we've been dragging out a great big, heavy, metal fountain that came in what felt like 1000 parts. But, we absolutely loved it because it was pretty and made the lovliest water tinkling sound. The pump finally died on it and the base was cracked, so it was time for a new one. I searched for weeks, trying to be sure I didn't make the same mistakes again. Well, this one is so fun!Here are the deets:1. It's light, but not too light that I worry it will fall over.2. It comes in 5 parts, maybe. No screws, no weird set up, no funny chasing of pump lines- it took me about 15 minutes from opening the box to having it run.3. The sound is wonderful. Because there are a few tiers with a bit of a drop, you can hear the water from pretty far away. I'm sitting inside with the windows open and i can hear it clearly from 30' away.4. Because it's a bit smaller and the bottom bowl is designed with the mirror petal shape, a little of the water is dripping out. I wouldn't be surprised if this needs to be filled daily.5. If/when the pump dies, as they do, it's a super quick and easy change out, not the huge hassle that others can cause.6. The footprint of this is quite small and with the dark greeny-grey, I'm quite sure it will fit in many different gardens, on a corner of a deck or patio without calling too much attention to itself.We've had this for a few days now and I've had to fill it up every day or day and a half, but it's a quick fix.
