I'll start by saying the material is not what I expected but I was able to repurpose it. It is a BEAUTIFUL tapestry. The pattern and colors are vibrant. I have never gotten it wet or washed it so I am not sure if it bleeds. If you are looking to use this as a beach or park blanket, it may not be what you are looking for. The fabric is very thin like a yard of fabric from the fabric store or even the material of a thick cotton shirt. I have tried to use it at the park but it's a bit too thin for thicker grass. However, this is PERFECT for traveling. Since it is thin, it folds into a small rectangle that fits in the bottom of a regular backpack which counts as a plane personal item. If you sleep on the plane and tend to get chilly, it's just thick enough to protect you from the air conditioning. This is a piece of fabric that covers and barely takes up backpack space rather than a bulky blanket. I never travel without this, my sleep mask, and my neck pillow!

I ordered this for a dinner party woth a Mexican theme amd it’s perfect! The colors are vivid and the fabric is a good thickness. It did have a very strong ink/dye smell. I soaked it in water/vinegar, then soaked it in dish detergent woth some baking soda. Both processes will help set the dye. Then I soaked it for an hour in fabric softener and water an air dried it and it’s great! I like that it won’t show spills because of the pattern. I wouldn’t put it in the dryer myself, air drying will help it keep its shape. It was a good value for the $.
