It smells that funnychemical smell that you get on a lot of products these days. Seems to wash out well tho. It held it's color after two washes! That is impressive!! True to size. Colors are vibrant (I got the red and orange) . It did not fray at all when washed. This would make a good towel. I used it as a table cloth. I used towels like this while living in Indonesia. They dry you off well and dry quick

I purchased 3 of these in various colors for my boho chic living room. I use them as throws during the summer months when the AC or sitting outdoors on the deck is just a bit too chilly in the evenings. I also use them when the grandchildren visit. The smallest ones love to play on them with their toys while the older ones use them as wraps and make tents out of them. They wash well and retain their vivid, gorgeous color scheme while not wrinkling. We are typically waiting for them as they come out of the dryer. They've become a mainstay in our home. Almost forgot, I also use them at the beach to lay on the sand. They are the perfect weight.

This is an all-purpose fabric mandela design currently in vogue. Some are made of a thin, scratchy chiffon fabric, (not good for beach towels, but light, for hanging.) This one is NOT terry cloth or chiffon (yay!) it feels a bit rougher, scratchier like a cotton kettlecloth (but not "itchy" or irritating); just a bit tougher and more durable than flimsier ones, though thin, not thick at all. Still lightweight, but closer woven so a bit warmer than a sheet. Nice all-purpose piece of cloth.Also, this one has a *clear* design, with pure colors, not blurry. The red is barn red, so slightly muted; not as bold as crimson, but not at all muddied. I'd bought several types of these, to compare, and this version is one of the only "red" colors that didn't turn out brown or purple brown (you know, like bruised fruit.) This one's a keeper.
