Bought first set in 2011, absolutely loved them under bedroom window. Stayed out 13 years and wasn't quite diminished but decided to replace. Same quality, wonderful sound, highly recommend!
I had previously purchased a larger chime from this company and impressed by its quality and sound decided to go with the same brand when purchasing additional smaller chimes. These are exceptional quality for the price - well made, a great size for hanging on my trees and they have a pretty chime. It is good to go right out of the box and hangs easily with good quality cord .The chime is pretty and easily activated in a light wind - but not so easy that it becomes over bearing! It has a delicate pleasant tone.It has a great design, in bronze tones that are simple with clean lines! Overall this is an exceptional quality for an amazing price
Have a few Woodstock chimes, and wanted just one more, so decided to stay with what I know. This is very nice, although it is not my favorite Woodstock. The reason is that the sound on this one is much higher and more "tinkly" than the others I had before. But variety is the spice of my life, and I suppose it's actually nice that they all have different sounds. It's also beautiful, and I expect the same long life from this one that I've enjoyed from my other Woodstock chimes. Another great hostess gift at a great price.
I have seen this wind chime in boutique and garden shops for a lot more money. (whatever crazy price they can get). It is beautifully constructed, and solid. Opened out of the box easy. The chimes are mellow, rich, and beautiful sounding. We like to actually play with the chimes to make it sound. I keep in a room in the house near a window & door. I am glad that I really like it, and may purchase another to hang on our backyard tree, only since the price is right.
Yes, it is small, almost delicate-looking, but it is very pretty, both visually and auditorily. I don't know what other reviewers mean about the chimes needing a strong breeze to work. I hung mine at the back stoop, which is protected under a metal awning. They still need only a soft breeze to quietly, peacefully chime. In a stronger breeze, all the chimes are rung for several seconds and then fade away. I like the difference in tone and loudness with different "breeze strength". This is my first set of chimes from Woodstock, and I'm impressed by the quality difference that tuning seems to make. None of the tinkly, sometimes irritating quality of ordinary cheap wind chimes. I can't say I know the difference between Mars, Pluto, and Earth ones, but my Mars chime really does sound like music. I'm happy with my purchase and would consider buying a larger, more expensive Woodstock chime in the future for another spot. Definitely worth the money.
